Josie Jones, PA-C

Physician Assistant
A Provider Who Truly Cares

Josie completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota, where she majored in Nutritional Sciences and minored in Leadership. After attaining over 1,500 hands-on clinical hours, she attended Marquette University’s Master of Physician Assistant program. During her time at Marquette, she spent 24 months in academic training, followed by 12 months of clinical rotations across several different specialties including Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, Surgery, Urgent Care, Internal Medicine, and many more. She completed more than 2,000 clinical hours and saw over 1,800 patients. With her background in nutrition, she is highly passionate about integrative medicine as well. She strives to optimize the quality of life for every patient she meets. She loves being a provider and is excited to build relationships with the patients at Ascend Pain and Wellness.

A large component of her role as a Physician Assistant is both in leadership and collaboration. Over the years, she has taught several Leadership Minor undergraduate courses, was a Senior Research Assistant at Hennepin County Medical Center, founded a professional women’s organization at the University of Minnesota, became the women’s captain of her professional water ski team, and served as the Vice President of her Physician Assistant class. She is also heavily involved in the community and has volunteered with Big Brothers Big Sisters for the past 10 years. She is looking forward to staying involved in the communities surrounding the clinic!

In her free time, you can find her waterskiing with her family, hiking with her husband in a state or national park, playing with her dog West at the dog beach, running on the lake shore path, exploring new breweries, or trying new restaurants.
