Carpal tunnel syndrome is a medical condition due to compression of the median nerve as it travels through the wrist at the carpal tunnel. Symptoms are pain, numbness and tingling in the thumb, index finger, and middle finger. Pain may even extend up the arm. There are a variety of treatment options for carpal tunnel syndrome which includes medications, use of a wrist brace, steroid injections and even surgery.
