Back Pain

The low back is an extremely complex region made up of many interconnecting structures.  These bones, discs, muscles, tendons and ligaments work together to provide low back movement, strength and flexibility. Damage to any of these structures can lead to a patient having low back pain.  If the pain lasts more than 3 months, it is labeled chronic pain and should be further investigated.

Ultimately, the goal is to reduce pain and increase functionality. Treatment options include: physical therapy, medication management, and interventional procedures. With the help of your physician, you will be able to come to a diagnosis and treatment plan.
