Fibromayalgia

Blood tests are most often used to diagnose fibromyalgia. These can include complete blood count, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, cyclic citrullinated peptide test, rheumatoid factor, celiac test, anti-nuclear antibody and vitamin D, as well as thyroid function testing.

 

Treating fibromyalgia can be challenging. Recommendations often include improving sleep, increasing exercise, eating a healthy diet, and having an appropriate medication program. Medications used to treat fibromyalgia include duloxetine or pregabalin.
