Headaches can be extremely difficult to diagnose and treat. Causes of headaches may include dehydration, fatigue, sleep deprivation, stress, medication side effects, viral infections, loud noises, common colds, head injury and dental or sinus issues. Treatment of these types of headaches depends on the underlying cause.

 

Migraine headaches affect nearly 12% of the population. Typically, these severe headaches affect one side of the head, are pulsating, and can last up to several days. Symptoms may include nauseavomiting, and sensitivity to lightsound, or smell. There have been a great number of treatments recently developed to treat migraines.  Treatment often centers around oral medications, intra-muscular injections, and even botox injections.  With the proper care and treatment regimen, the severity and frequency can be reduced
